About Her

Uzma Sadaqat has obtained her Masters degree in Psychology from Murray College, Sialkot. Subsequently, she received the M.Phil degree in Clinical Psychology from Preston University, Islamabad. She has done diplomas in Hypnotherapy and Advanced Hypnotherapy. She has also received a certificate in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP). Uzma Sadaqat visited United States as a State Guest under International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) under the auspices of the U.S. Department of State in 2016. Her program theme was “Best Practices of Drug Demand Reduction related Programs.” During her visit, she got an opportunity to meet and learn about best practices in the treatment of drug addiction and alcoholism from our counterparts in different states of US including Washington D.C.; Virginia; New Hampshire; Cincinnati, Ohio; Kentucky and Pensacola, Florida. She also received an honorary citizenship from the Mayor of Pensacola, Florida. She began her career as a professional Psychologist 16 years ago as a hypnotherapist and NLP practitioner. She joined Willing Ways Pakistan, in Oct. 2006. She describes it as a life changing experience. Now she is an experienced counselor in drug addiction, alcoholism and other psychiatric illnesses such as Bipolar disorder, Depression, Schizophrenia etc. She has been conducting Group Therapy Sessions for patients and their families. She has been lecturing on the topics of Addiction, Recovery and Relapse Prevention. She is an expert in training families on Structured Family Intervention, Tough Love, Assertiveness and Personal Development. She works with indoor as well as outdoor patients and their families and helps them in their journey to recovery from drugs and alcohol. She has achieved many milestones in her career and was promoted as Director Counseling Programs in 2009. She went to Amritsar, India in Sep. 2015 to conduct a 4 days training workshop on “Structured Addiction Treatment” at The Hermitage and Bhatia Neuropsychiatric Hospital and De-addiction Center, Amritsar, India. She is ultimately earning a credible reputation as an Addiction Psychologist and Clinical Interventionist. She has been appearing in different TV Shows as Consultant Psychologist. She loves to speak on the subject of women empowerment. Her hobbies include reading books and listening to audio programs on intervention, recovery management and personal development. She also loves hiking, exercising, and long walks in nature.
