Paras Meer Works as a clinical psychologist at willing ways. She joined willing ways in April 2017 as researcher and clinical psychologist. She has done MS (Health Psychology) and BS (Hons) in Applied Psychology from Lahore College for Women University, Lahore. Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Organizational Psychology and Research are her areas of interest and Specialty.
She did her internships in Punjab institute of Mental Health, Lahore and Services Hospital Lahore. Her training includes taking case histories, Conducting group sessions, Individual and family counseling,Health promotion through awareness campaigns etc. for patients.
She worked as Clinical Psychologist in Punjab Institute of Mental Health, Lahore in Drug Addiction and Rehabilitation Unit for Six Months. During her stay at PIMH she performed various duties; Taking social case histories, Conducting group sessions , follow ups with client families, Individual and family counseling , Designed informative material e.g., brochures, leaflets, posters etc. for patients.
She served in Lahore College for Women University for more than three years as Lecturer. She taught Health Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Organizational Psychology and Minor coursesat Graduate level and Post-Graduate level. She has supervised internships in the areas of clinical, counseling and health Psychology. She has also supervised Research projects at Post-Graduate level in field of Health Psychology.
She did her research work on “General Self-Efficacy Beliefs, Life Satisfaction and Burnout in Traffic Wardens”. Her two research papers are published in “Pakistan Vision” Journal in 2015, Y category. She presented various papers in educational conferences at National and International level.
Her hobbies include reading books, listening music and browsing.
