About Her

Jamila Murad is a clinical psychologist in Willing Ways, Islamabad. She has completed her masters in clinical psychology from Riphah International University. She has been working in mental health domain for the past two years. She has worked in rehabilitation facility Islamic Medical Center, Umeed-e-Nau clinic and govt. school for special children, Rawalpindi. She has attended and participated in multiple workshops and seminars, such as assistive communication technology, significance of psychopharmacology, grief support training, boosting self esteem and self awareness. She has also participated in experimental study to measure the fluctuations in the self esteem of a speaker after a public speaking session, in 2017. She has received her training in mindfulness & meditation and has also worked on an online platform for mental health services as a trained counselor. She specializes in addiction related problem, personality issues, mood disorders, daily life stressors, anger, sleep issues, grief and major life transitions like a new job, moving to a new place, etc. She has received extensive training in cognitive behavior therapy and dialectical behavior therapy. Her approach to clients is holistic, comprising multiple therapies addressing the client’s individual needs. She believes in individualizing treatment plan to fit the needs of each individual client and to ensure wellbeing and growth. At Willing Ways, her duties include taking history, putting together a treatment plan, providing daily counseling services, family therapy and daily group therapies. Her personal mission as a psychologist is to promote growth and wellbeing through her services and to play her part to make the world a better place.
