Faiza Shah Afridi is Clinical Psychologist at willing ways Karachi. She is Bachelors in Professional Psychology and M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology from Institute of Professional Psychology (IPP), Bahria University Karachi Campus. She is working as Illness Management and Recovery Practitioner by providing Psychiatric Rehabilitation to adults with Mental illness includes Bipolar, Schizophrenia and Depression since 2 years. She has worked as an internee at Karachi Psychiatric hospital, Jinnah Post Graduate Medical and Dental College and Institute of Professional Psychology during her bachelors. She has been a lecturer of Psychology at St Josephs’ College for 2 months.
She has volunteered as an ambassador and marketing secretary for help international welfare trust for their fundraising events for blood donation of children with Thalassemia. She has also selected as an active citizen by British council for National exchange program (one week visit to Multan) for her project with underprivileged women by providing them a platform to increase their earning. She has volunteered at ParhaLikha Pakistan (PLP) trust in Naltar Valley (Gilgit) and conducted workshops for teachers along with psychological assessment of students.
In her Clinical Experience she has done Psychological Assessments of adults and children, Psychotherapy by using an eclectic approach which consists of Solution focused and Behavioral therapy, Humanistic therapy, Cognitive therapy and Rational Emotiveand Behavioral approach. She has been involved in group counselling and individual counselling,design and conducted workshops and has been part of different seminar and camps related to health awareness.
She has conducted a research on “Relationship between Adult attachment styles and Hope and Life satisfaction” in year 2015.
