Hira Iqbal is clinical Psychologist working at Sadaqat Clinic, Karachi. She has done her Masters in Psychology from the Institute of Professional Psychology, Bahria University, Karachi. She has organized professional workshops for employees on Organizational Psychology, Educational Psychology and on Teaching Methodology.
Hira has command over quantitative research She has conducted a research titled ‘Community Violence exposure in Adolescents Psychological Well-Being’ (based on primary data) which was accepted for presentation at the international conference at Bara Gali, Khyber Pakhtun Khwah. She has done an internship at PNS Shifa, where she counselled naval officers. She has also interned at Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Center, Psychiatric Department, where she provided treatment to patients suffering from bipolar disorder, schizophrenia disorder, personality disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, anxiety disorder and depressive patients.
She has also done an internship at Autism Care Foundation and Rehabilitation Center where she learned more about occupational therapy and speech therapy. She worked with children who suffered from autism, ADHD, down syndrome, cerebral palsy, communication disorder, intellectual disorder and on motor disorder. She has also worked with the British Council, as a part of Active Citizen Project where, she has worked on self-esteem of Special Children.
Hira is proficient at cognitive behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis therapy, relaxation exercises, play therapy, solution focus therapy and rational emotive behavioral therapy. She has excellent communication skills and is very confident.
