Maryam Shah is a highly dynamic, self motivated and ambitious person. She has done her bachelor’s in honors from Foundation University Islamabad, after that she completed her master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from the same university. She achieved one year Clinical Diploma in clinical psychology. Throughout her academic history she’s being an exemplary student, during her bachelors she was elected as a member of student committee, drama and debate committee and won many prizes. She is very social, outspoken and confident young girl who is zealous about bringing positive social changes in Pakistan and is optimistic about Pakistan’s future.
She did her internship from Benazir Bhutto Hospital as a Psychologist. She also worked as a Psychologist in Fauji Foundation Hospital and also serves as a trainee at Army Special Education Academy. She also worked in Foundation University Rawalpindi campus to further sharpen her skills as a Psychotherapist. She also gained her teaching experience as a lecturer Psychology from Roots International College and Malakand University (KPK).
She is working at Willing Ways Pakistan as Clinical Psychologist and thoroughly enjoying her work under the dynamic leadership of Dr. Sadaqat Ali. She is a committed, regular and hardworking professional. Her duties at willing ways includes: Individual Psychotherapy sessions with Outdoor patients, family sessions of the respective patients, and group therapy of the families of patients with various psychiatric illnesses. She has her expertise in subjects like Assertiveness, Executive skills for highly effective teens, Tough love, Seven habits and Six Decisions for teens by Shaun Covey. She also takes great interest in article writing, report writing and documentation for the Willing Ways.
Maryam is a passionate girl from Dir (lower). Her hobbies and interests include reading, painting, debates and dramas, photography, and using her creative abilities on graphic designing. She also runs her own page related to fashion designing as a hobby.
