Amina Javed is working as Clinical Psychologist at Willing Ways, Lahore. In 2015, she completed her MS in clinical psychology, from Centre Clinical Psychology, University of the Punjab, Lahore. In 2013, she did her BS in Clinical Psychology, University of the Punjab, Lahore.
Amina has served as a trainee clinical psychologist at the child psychiatry ward of Mayo Hospital Lahore, during which time she conducted detailed assessment and management sessions with clients afflicted with a range of psychological disorders. She also served as trainee clinical psychologist at adult psychiatry ward of Ganga Ram Hospital, Lahore.
She had Community Placement Experience Lahore Social Welfare Complex, Township, Lahore; Child Protection and Welfare Bureau, Lahore; Fountain House, Lahore; and Living Institute for Slow learners (LISL), at Centre for Clinical Psychology University of Punjab, Lahore.She has participated in workshop on NLP, Hypnosis and Transnational Analysis during her training. She also had training of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, Behavior Therapy and she is interested in Dialectic Behavior Therapy as well. She also conducted two individual research projects on ‘Cyber bullying, Resilience, Psychological Distress and Psychological well being of adolescents” and Perfectionism, Unconditional self-acceptance and Debilitating emotions among students”.
She had worked as Research Assistant with Assistant Professor in University funded Project, entitled as “caregiver burden, quality of life and vulnerability towards Psychopathalogy in caregivers of patients with Alzheimer’s Disease”.
She belongs to Lalamusa, Gujrat. She likes to listen music and enjoyed thrilling acts. She has interest in doing creative things and use to make photo collage and videos and their editing. She has good computer skills.
